Fast Food

Burger King · CP+B · Mid-2000s · Role: Senior Art Director

A set of classic Burger King TV spots built on absurd humor, sharp visual gags and quick storytelling.

How do you cut through a TV ad break with a burger and a good joke?

Ad breaks are where attention goes to die. These spots were built to wake people up: fast, funny and a little ridiculous.

Role Reversal

A simple, understated role-reversal joke that turns a standard fast-food interaction on its head. It’s a quiet gag I’m still probably a little too proud of.

Fastest Mouth in Town

German audiences have a long-standing soft spot for classic American westerns, so we leaned into dusty showdown tropes to promote the Whopper. Fast draws, dramatic close-ups, and very quick eating.

A Fancy Burger for the Not-So-Fancy

When chorizo made its way to the Burger King menu, we knew adding a premium ingredient to fast food was bound to attract an elevated class of customer. Specifically, people who take themselves entirely too seriously and might show up wearing a cape.

What I did

  • Helped develop the core creative ideas.

  • Art directed the spots through the shoot, character styling and the final edit.
